Hello, it's been a while since I posted anything on this forum. My question is, when installing the old style wheel arms on an Aermotor 702, after lining up the arms, the arms are crisscrossed as they should be, but when putting on the wheel sections, should one of the (tabs?) on one arm be on top and the other one the bottom to be correct? Meaning should they sandwich the inner wheel ring top and bottom before putting the bolt in? Should the outer arm tabs be on top, or bottom, or does it really matter? Just thinking the wheel might run truer if it was all correct.
Also, I don't like the idea of putting washers or even lead washers under the wheel arms to hub for alignment, as I see some do. I was told many years ago by an Aermotor tech on the phone from Aermotor windmills that you should get the arms close, tighten on the hub, then twist the arms into place. This is not the problem here, just wondering about where the wheel arm tabs placement should be. Thanks!!!

The diagrams and instructions I have show both on the bottom. Not sandwiched together.

Thanks mattshup! That helps me a lot. I was looking for a pic like that but couldn't find it. It looks like the both of them are on top. Thanks again!
