I get up at 7 go to bed about 11 so Windy out of my 16 hour day I figure about 1 hour a day you could put Happy in there. The rest of the day I'm working on most of these. It some times changes hourly.

Wayne, the antidote to the major problem these days is just around the corner. Hang in there. Before you know it, things will be better.
Happiness for me is fleeting. Being contented is longer lasting. If I am content, then happiness and sadness can come and go. I'm still contented even though I might be a little sad. Make a list. One one side list all the things that are good with you. On the other side, list the opposites. I bet you have a longer good list than bad list.

I will be leaving for my sons house later today. Trying to miss the possible storm coming tomorrow. He said he will run me to the dr appt for my back thurs morn. It was all going pretty good till he came down with a scratchy throat last nite. So......this morning he was in the line for a quickie test. If he has it, then I have no idea what I will do for my appt. It's a 2 hr drive. Make a long story short, I'm somewhat concerned, but I'm still content. This is just a blip on the radar screen. This will pass, and I will go on. Once I get fixed, I will feel much better, so there is a lot to look forward to. However, I am no dummy, and I certainly know I'm entering the lion's den. I refuse to run and hide, although I have been taking precautions. If for some reason, after a weel or so, If I am not back on here, then you might get an idea of a possible disaster, but I have chosen. I'm still content.

I guess I must have blinked or been sleeping when we entered this alternate universe, where now, right is wrong, wrong is right, good is bad, bad is good, and parallel lines intersect somewhere....not to mention the election. However, it is out of my control, and there is nothing I can do, but i am still content in my own way.
So the moral of this story is, to find every bit of happiness you can, and savor it. Blow off the negative, and stay positive, as there is always something positive to see, even on the worst of days. And try to make at least one person smile, every day. That's 365 people you made smile in a year. And....it's easy to double that.

Stay as positive as you can , my friend. We will all get through this one way or another. It won't be long.

Windy I will say I'm content. I'm really the happiest I've ever been in my live. Love it here in Navarro Co. Love being knee deep in the History of the people of Navarro Co. That's why I spend 10-1 at our Pearce Museum every Wednesday and 10-5 at the Genealogy Center at the library every Thursday. That gets me out of the house and around people with the same interest. As you say Windy those other feelings come around because of the situation we are in. Went by the Church yesterday. Another covid case within the staff. One of the secretaries. So most of the staff is under quarantine. It only takes one person to infect many
Windy hope it works out for you. We don't want to loose you. I count you as one of my best friends. Your right it's out of your hands all you can do is control whats under your control and hope everyone else does the same.

Ok guys and gals, I'm back! Thanks! I did go down to OKC for my advisory session with the doctor. Turns out it's a bit different than I was led to believe. Instead of a bone closing in on my nerve, there is a disc a little pushed out, and it's what's putting the pressure on. Most of my MRI reading actually looks pretty good for my age. lol So, what I am going to do is have an injection , in my spine at the actual location of the nerve, and take some meds expressly for that, and do some PT. I'm sure this will help, but I don't want this to come back like before. If it does, then I guess the operation will be next. I've never really had back issues in my life, so it looks promising. I've actually had a little reprieve in the last couple days anyway. It's nice to take a shower, without it being a major undertaking!
Wayne , sounds like your mind is in the right place! And your heart! Good for you. I'm flattered you consider me one of your best friends. While I was gone, I made many people smile. All in all, the trip was a success. Thanks to you all for the well wishes. Keep a stiff upper lip. Vaccine coming soon!

Glad to hear the good report Windy. Those injections seem to be a miracle. Was having a knee problem. It hurt if it was bent to straighten it or straight to bend it. Got an shot into the knee no more problem. So maybe you will have the same great success.
