New to Windmill Forum....

Post by Old windy one »

Here in Central Calif and have been in to vintage windmills about 12 years but really liked them for many years. I had two Aermotor at my last place, sold one and made a deal with new buyer of house for the other. Now in next house have acquired two the last couple years. One came from a walnut orchard in Clovis and the latest from an old place in the town of Academy at an auction, fair condition 25' tower, Aermotor A602. Just noticed today working on A602 Aermotor on the ground, a hand stamp on hoop of 9 21 so maybe 100 years old next month. Couple of pictures from old house in mountains and one I put up here last year on new 16' redwood tower. Mountain pic Aermotor on 20' tower is not great and new house we just poured cement driveway. Latest mill is down but work on it steadily. I also work on vintage American motorcycles since, forever.

Thanks to all.
I miss the mountains was there below Yosemite, too remote for me after retirement. Been to Yosemite more times than I can count so don't really miss it, and all the tourists!
