Flint & Walling
Looks like a model 12 F & W , or is it 12A ?

Re: Flint & Walling
You had my hopes up , maybe a scarce model , then they got crushed , just a common F & W , tail lettering says Flint & W
model 12 or 12A ?

Re: Flint & Walling
Sorry for getting you excited Mike but when I first looked at it i didn't have my reading glasses on and couldn't see the sail ties wrapped around the whole sail. The hub on a Bell Hub and model 12 are similar. Also the early Bell Hub had a swallowtail tail vane similar to the F and W. It's still a very nice find

100% F&W, Most likely a Star 12 ... but something looks funny (might just be camera angle). Star 13 & 15 were two direct stroke models in that series, so one of the 3.
Thanks,

I was able to blow the pic up ... Star 12. Some shadows had me wondering before ... but now can see it in the enlarged pic.Mister Ed wrote: Tue Oct 11, 2022 5:26 pm 100% F&W, Most likely a Star 12 ... but something looks funny (might just be camera angle). Mr Ed i believe the model 13 was a wooden wheel mill only. The wheel is definitely a model 12 with those wrap around sail ties.
