Set Screw Problem

Post by Lahanna »

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with a slipping set screw inside the pump jack? Changed the screw out and still have the problem so I am wondering if it is stripped inside. Was thinking about putting some loctite in there but not sure if it's a good idea. Hope this makes sense I'm new to dealing with these kinds of repairs. If not, I can probably get some pictures and post this weekend. Thank you!

There might be a notch or hole the set screw goes in you're not finding.or something is siezed up causing it to slip.

I agree with the set screw is not located in the small notch / divit and the set screw is not going all the way into it .
