Re: Tool ID
I got a wood burning cook stove that has something exactly like that on it that says "Majestic". If you think about it, the amount of leverage that would put on a nut and as thin as that cast iron is, I don't believe it would ever last. I have tried to think of a head that had a pocket you could use something like that on and I can't, if you used it with any amount of torque you would snap it fast. I just don't think it is a windmill tool.
Re: Tool ID
I agree think it is for a wood burning stove . Don't know what it turned. Maybe used for adjusting the air for burning the wood. Have seen a bunch with different names.
Re: Tool ID
I agree, think it is for a wood stove to rattle the grates to drop the ash and clinkers into the ash pan.

If the hole is off center, it's a tool for tightening the cam washers on the guy wires.

Re: Tool ID
The tool is also similar to remove/install axle shaft nuts on buggies/ horse carriages.
Re: Tool ID
I agree with the wood stove description. I bet if you went to Lehmans hardware in Kidron Oh they could sale you a new one. Mine has Charter Oaks on it.

Re: Tool ID
It could also be for the ash grate of a blacksmith forge.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
