History of the Aermotor Swallowtail

For how long did the Aermotor company use the swallowtail design?

From looking at early documents, I think it is fair to say that they stopped making the swallowtail around 1900.
But, the tail vanes are interchangeable so dealers could have had old stock and installed them later.

Interesting cobble job. A 702 Aermotor (made after 1933) with a swallowtail vane (late 1800s) and what the heck make of blades?

Wayne, if it works right, and is proper and dependable, it's not a cobble job, it's 'proper substitution'. However, Proper substitution requires correct criteria for the particular application. These vary from job to job, and how low the bank account gets.
