Pump Rod Art

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Pump Rod Art

Post by JBarker »

My friend wants to hang some art from bottom of pump rod on his A602. He has a 33 ft tower. His windmill is not a pumper.

Anyone have any suggestions and pics you might share with us???

Is there any pros and cons to doing this? Thanks.

Jerry

I have North, South, East and West road signs that I hang from the pump rod. Since my tower has anti-rotation fittings for pump rod guides, the directionals never change.

I've been know to place a modified version of a "DO NOT PASS" road sign on or near a tower, too. To keep them from 'flavoring the water' or to remind any contributors about the vast amount of poison ivy at the tower.

I also picked up some Taco Bell graphic signs that I was going to hang for the 'Taco Windmill' thread. These are Golden Arches from an ancient McDonalds. The lighted one nearby is newer. I replaced the neon with rope lighting for safety and efficiency reasons. Better than neon, too !
