Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Post by JBarker »

I'm looking for the parts list and/or any trade literature on a Flint & Walling Star Model 12 open gear windmill. Thanks.

Jerry, take a look on your other thread (where you first posted that mill pic). I'm sure I posted a link there that I had just came across. It had several of the older F&W parts lists, including the Star 12. I also have a booklet (reprint), but that is several pages. I have an original piece of sales literature, but it is 11x17 or larger and will not fit my scanner.

Did you purchase that mill?

Here is that link:

If I remember correctly from your picture, I think your mill had the newer pitman arms, with larger volume oil well. So they will look a bit different than in the pic.
Thanks,
Ed

Hey Jerry, should I take a quick refresher course on babbitting one of those? LOL
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

Jerry, I also dropped a copy I had saved into the library. It didn't come from either of the two above sources, but it appears to be from the same catalog.
Thanks,
Ed
