Windmill hanging on by a thread

Does this look like an Aermotor? What is keeping it on top of tower?

If that windmill is on the edge of Lake Buchanan within the grounds of the Thunderbird Lodge, I recall that being a 6’ Aermotor...looks nearly identical at least.

Almost sure it's not an Aermotor.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

Windy - You’re probably right. If on the slim chance it happened to be the same windmill I referenced above, I couldn’t get real close to it last year as I was in a walking boot from a dislocated ankle. I wanted to get closer and look it over better...

Looking at the gear box I was thinking a Monitor, but it looks like this wheel would have clockwise rotation, and Monitors are CCW. I suspect it had the style of storm stay on the mast pipe that is held in the center by four bolts, and one or more of those bolts broke or wore and popped out of the storm stay. The mast and top collar are holding it up there, but the mast is not centered, so it's tipped.
