Don't know how many of you remember my supplemental horse shoe which I decided was a removable ice shoe. Bought me some new wrench books and it showed these shoes with what they called removable calks for ice. From a Co called Neverslip from New Brunswick N.J.

When I was a little kid on the farm, I started finding ice chaulk hardies to go in the anvil. They were not for removable chaulks but for sharp bars with a single, or maybe 4 set from maybe 1/4 to an inch long. I probably found a dozen and got me interested in blacksmithing. Thanks for sharing.
I thought they were kinda unique. Was wondering if anybody up in the north country had ever seen any such thing. Gives me something else to look for at flea markets and antique stores up in Ohio and Indiana.
