Fairbury gears are heli-cut on most all iof the #7 models. Gears are cut on slant, not worm-gear mills.

This is what I am thinking, it is kind of how he described it, like I said, he isn't a windmill guy. If it is, I will post a vid of me doing a back flip. :mrgreen:

Been in that section bunches, altho I didn't look there today. The green book has more info. Especially where to find articles, catalogs, and pictures.

I thought #7 were all Normal geared, just helical cut on most and the #6 was a worm gear like a FM WG?

Maybe a long shot but Hebco made a worm gear water pumper in mid/late 20s…but it was prop drive, aluminum prop, 10 or 12’ long. I’ve come across a broken prop before but that’s it.
