worm gear windmills
Re: worm gear windmills
Fairbury gears are heli-cut on most all iof the #7 models. Gears are cut on slant, not worm-gear mills.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

This is what I am thinking, it is kind of how he described it, like I said, he isn't a windmill guy. If it is, I will post a vid of me doing a back flip.

I thought #7 were all Normal geared, just helical cut on most and the #6 was a worm gear like a FM WG?

Re: worm gear windmills
Maybe a long shot but Hebco made a worm gear water pumper in mid/late 20s…but it was prop drive, aluminum prop, 10 or 12’ long. I’ve come across a broken prop before but that’s it.

Here's some pics of our Fairbury No. 6 worm gear mill, which is 8'. Working on it... need to weld a few pieces together.
Kansas Rust Buzzard: If you need anything, measurements, etc., let us know. P.S. Looking for someone who has an Aeromotor corn grinder that goes on a power mill. Would like to recast a piece.
