1899 Open gear Aermotor question

Hello windmill friends. I am just about done refurbishing an 1899 8 ft. open gear Aermotor. I need a picture or explanation of the furling linkages and parts as I am either missing a few parts or am too stupid to figure out how it goes together. I will put up a few pictures later today showing what parts I have left if someone (Ivan? or Windy?) could point me into the right direction. Thank you in advance, Tom

Thank you Wayne for telling me about Dan. Here are a few pictures of the furl parts. I know I have doubles of the one part but it should be all there. Just trying to figure how it all goes together. A bit more complicated than the oil bath A602 or A702 I am used to. No wonder they came out with an external furl design!

Hey Tom it's Dan. The long flat bar with the bend on the top is the tie bar.That goes up through the mast and the bend with the hole bolts to a square cast piece on the top of the main frame and the cast piece on the bar snugs up against the square cast piece on the bottom of the mast and holds the mill down.The metal furl rod also goes up through the mast and one end hooks to the furl arm and the other end with the furl disk hangs below the mast and fits inside the metal bar with the round cast piece on top so when you pull down on it it furls the mill. Thanks Dan that is exactly what I needed everything you said makes sense. I will be sand blasting the pieces this week and let you know if I need any more information. This is why this forum (thanks to Paul) is so important to keep our vintage windmills catching the wind for the future generations! Merry Xmas, Tom

here is something fyi. The tail on the OG Aermotors furls opposite than the self oiling models.

Thanks Bob I noticed that. I will add that to my to my windmill trivia knowledge! Now to figure out how the flat bar with bend fits up center of mast pipe without shortening bend.

You remove the cast piece that snugs up against the bottom of the mast pipe and feed it down from the top and reinstall the cast hold down.
